Radiant

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

Radiant helps you learn Bible verses by heart. This policy explains what information the app keeps, where it goes, and the choices you have. Radiant is made by Elisha Coad ("we", "us").

The short version

Without an account

Your verses, reviews, streak, achievements and settings are stored only on your device. To show a verse, the app asks a Bible text service for that passage (see Service providers below). Those requests contain the passage and translation, not who you are.

With an account

When you sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed code, we store:

Friends and groups

Social features are optional. When you use them, we store your friend connections and requests, the groups you belong to, the verses and moments you share (a reference such as "Psalm 46:10" and a translation name, never the verse text), the notes and replies you write, and hearts.

What friends can see: your name, photo, username, streak, number of Radiant verses, the verses you're currently learning, and your achievements. People in your groups can see your name and photo and whether you've started the group's verse. Verses you mark private are never shown to anyone. Nobody outside your friends and groups can see your profile.

If you block someone, you stop seeing each other in Radiant. If you report something, we store the report and review it.

Notes and replies

Notes and replies are checked automatically for links and unkind words before they're sent. They're visible only to the people you send them to.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run Radiant. They process information only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while you have an account. When you delete your account, your account, progress, friendships, group memberships and everything you shared are erased right away, and removed from our backups within 30 days. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Radiant's access with Apple.

Your choices

Children

Radiant is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Friend requests found by username must be accepted, and profiles are visible only to friends and group members. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections and access to it is restricted, so each person can reach only their own data and what friends chose to share with them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you trust us with.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
